Marathon Weekend…what happened???

Hi!  Wow so apparently I signed up for my first marathon and I had planned to write about it!  Right???  Well life happened as always and I posted no updates on this blog.  But if you follow me on Instagram…yes I have trained for 18+ weeks!


I pretty much followed my marathon plan given to me by Life Time Run!  Each week I ran most of my training runs with my run group!   I have to say they are the best frunners ever!   And I have no idea how I would’ve gotten through training without them!!

I tweeked my plan a bit and mixed in some races here and there.  Some I paced and some I “raced”.  My fave race….


…which is a whole other story! 🙂

So the very big weekend is here!!!   Yay! Scary!  OMG!  Marathon weekend!  Less than 24 hours until I run my first marathon!!  I cannot believe it’s here!  Am I ready?  I have no idea!!  Honest truth…I am running on an injured ankle. Yup that’s right!  I sprained my ankle last weekend!!  That is so like me!!  Hello I forgot the put myself in a bubble!!!

I stayed off it the whole week and paid a visit to an Airrosti  doctor for treatment. It’s been taped up, I’ve iced and left my Pro Compression socks on majority of the time.
But guess what!  It’s go time!  I’ve trained for this in the blazing Texas heat, rain and cold….and I will cross that finish line one way or another!  It’s one of my goals to cross off my bucket list before the big 4-0!

And currently, I am Houston bound!!!  Literally!

Chevron Houston Marathon….as scared as I am…I look forward to becoming a “Marathoner”.

Hello World (again)…..I have big news!

Hello again!   I am really trying to get this blogging thing down!  It’s been a very long while, again!  I’m not a writer at all.  The most I write is posted on my Instagram posts.  So I am really trying to figure this out so if you find me along the way…please bear with me!

I found this pic below as I was searching for blogging tips…it gave me a little motivation today! 🙂

A whole lot has gone on in my life over the past year that I would have loved to share on here.   From all the running to the amazing people I have met…WOW, is all I have to say!  If I can get the hang of writing, I will do my best to recap my past adventures.  But for now on this post…..I have news to share!

I SIGNED UP FOR MY FIRST MARATHON!  OMG!  26.2 MILES!  I will run The Houston Marathon  in January 2016!  I had some peer pressure from frunners (I love them) and some of my own pressure to sign up!  I honestly love half marathons!  So after 7 half marathons, 2 virtual half marathons, with 5Ks, 10Ks and a 15K mixed in…onto my next goal!  Time to conquer 26.2 miles before the big 4-0!!!  Can I do it?  I don’t know!  I’ll find out on that day!  My training officially started yesterday!  With this new adventure…I plan to recap my weekly trainings here on my blog!  That’s the plan (key words)!  For now, that’s all I have!  Thank you for reading and I hope that you follow my first marathon journey!

Yikes!

Okay so I took a step back from this blogging thing, SIGH.  It’s been on my mind!  Since I have never blogged until a few months ago….it’s still pretty new!  I have been psyching myself up to start on a weekly basis!  So if you come across this, please bare with me!  Most of all my other moments are on Facebook and Instagram.  So if you follow me there, WONDERFUL!!  ❤   May is a new month…just a few days away!  It’s actually my birthday month that I pretty much celebrate the whole month!  OH and my birthday just happens to fall on Mother’s Day….so it’s definitely an extra special month for me! 🙂    Stay tuned for my upcoming posts! xo

Day 1 – Sweat it Out!

One of my favorite ways to #sweat is #Zumba! I absolutely LOVE it! I always leave class looking like a sweaty hot mess!

Day 2 – Change It Up!

My new way to #sweat today was the 10 minute #core workout. I had to modify exercise 4 (side plank torso twist) because of my wrist. Here I’m doing exercise 3 -forearm flow. Look did you notice I don’t have my brace on my left arm?  Well I try to use it less when I’m at home. However my wrist is still very limited on the range of motion so this sequence was great for me to try at home. With a healing broken wrist and sick 3 yr old at home…any at home exercise is better than no exercise!

Day 3 – Let’s Get Planking!

First post….
